During my stay at Mikuniya, the exceptional hospitality really stood out. The staff were attentive, speaking excellent English and offering helpful tips about local public onsens. The private onsen offered a tranquil escape, allowing for a relaxing soak in serene surroundings.

It was just a strong match for a weekend trip in Toyooka with very good value for money. The owner packed me a surprise breakfast for my early train ride, which was such a thoughtful touch! Make sure to take advantage of their yukatas, as they have a great selection to choose from.

Meals in our room were substantial, featuring a delightful Wagyu set and crab, though breakfast options were quite limited for Western tastes. While the private bath experience was relaxing, the extra charges for onsens felt unexpected. The lack of wifi availability in the guest lounge and older bathrooms detracted from an otherwise pleasant experience.

It was just a great fit for a mini-break over the weekend in Toyooka, with exceptional value. Staff were super friendly and even helped me navigate my yukata for the first time. Don't forget to try the in-house onsen. it's refreshing after a long day!

The experience was lovely. The private baths offered a serene escape after a day of sightseeing, and the meals served in the room were a delight to the senses. Our attendant was friendly and attentive, de-shelling crab and laying out our futons while even leaving a thank you note upon our departure.

It wasn't exactly a bargain, but for what we got, it was still worth it.
